Submit Your Manuscript

John Whitmer Books is continually seeking scholarly manuscripts for publication. Our focus is on the early church through 1844 and the broader movement after 1844.

Because we are a non-profit scholarly organization, our entire purpose is to promote your scholarship.

Please send us a query letter explaining your book, either (1) with an outline, table of contents, and 1-3 complete chapters, or (2) with a completed manuscript. Submissions should be mailed to:
JWHA Publications Committee
1710 South Blvd.
Ann Arbor, MI 48104
The JWHA Publications Committee will review your letter and submission to determine whether it can be viably published as a John Whitmer Book. The committee will either (1) accept the manuscript, (2) invite you to revise and resubmit it, or (3) reject it.

Allow the committee three months to respond. Materials sent to JWHA cannot be returned. We thank you in advance for your good work.
